I help teens build their own toolkits and resources to
I spent 15 years at an independent school in Los Angeles empowering young women in leadership, wellness, and yoga. I also earned my Master’s in Educational Leadership, and I have helped hundreds of teen girls and young women, along with their parents, guardians, and teachers, to navigate adolescence and beyond. Their trust in me confirms what I know inside: my investment in young women makes a difference!
As a certified Youth Resilience Coach, I focus my skills and passion in helping 20-somethings and teenage girls realize their amazing worth and potential. The ages of 13-30 are a time when they need support and safe spaces to develop agency and shape amazing lives. All the things I’ve learned on my own journey of creating balance, agency, and joy allow me to approach this work with compassion, kindness, and a sense of calm. Honing my process through years of experience, I now help my clients cultivate their personal skills by developing the tools, practice, and resilience to achieve authentic, enduring growth. This type of life coaching enables young women to better understand themselves, identify where they want to go, and turn their strengths and desires into goals and achievement.

Some of my most important and meaningful work has been creating and planning It’s Our Turn: Young Women’s Conference at Brentwood School. From the mission statement, “Our goal is to seek wisdom and guidance from others, empower ourselves, and inspire those around us.” With a decade of compelling events, the conference grew from an organizing committee of 11 teenage girls to 100 students. My agency and skill also grew as I led the student and adult planning committees.
The Student Planning Committee created all aspects of this very special event as well as introduced and interviewed the guests on the main stage and in breakout sessions. The daylong event served 1,000 young people of all genders in Grades 8-12 from over 100 SoCal schools and nonprofits, with interactive breakout sessions and main stage presentations with a variety of female leaders, artists, and mentors. Teens benefitted from sharing perspectives, broadening their vision, and realizing their own voice and choice in their everyday lives. Truly, the young women were the stars with their considerable courage, intellect, leadership skills, and kindness. It was my great privilege to serve these students and help them realize their own power.

wellness
I specialize in helping others create and maintain wellness, which essentially means feeling good and functioning well. I’ve taught yoga and mindfulness to students, colleagues, and student-athletes for over a decade. In response to a teen girl’s desire to address student well-being, I researched programs across the country. Identifying a lack of curriculum for teens, I created and taught The Science of Well-Being, a survey course to explore evidence-based practices to help create and maintain mental and emotional wellness.
relationship building
My strength in relationship building is at the heart of my coaching practice. The coaching relationship is the best predictor of coaching outcomes.
For a teenage girl or a 20-something young woman, having a one-to-one relationship with a caring adult can be transformational. Grappling with body image, changing hormones, thoughts, and emotions are challenges I know and understand firsthand, having done the work within myself. Collaboration is a central part of my creativity, and it is a joy to work together as a thought partner who offers unconditional, positive regard for young women and teen girls. It’s amazing what happens when young women believe in themselves!
